5 Tweets on Boosting Productivity at Work

We're all looking for ways to be more productive at work. In fact, when googling the terms "boosting work productivity", you get 5,980,000 results. Using time efficiently and being more productive at work is something we all strive for. When you feel like you have a million things to do and with distractions popping up every 15 minutes, it can be hard to stay focused. And when a distraction arises at work, it can cause you much more time to get back on track. So we found 5 tips for booting productivity at work and shared them for you here.

#1: Occasionally, it is helpful to put on headphones at work and really get in the zone. Listen to soft music or no music at all. This is especially helpful if you are completing one very focused task at a time.

#2: Use a standing desk to relieve back and neck pain, improve posture, and get better blood flow to the legs and feet. If you don't have a standing desk, going for a short 15 minute walk can do wonders for you brain and subsequent productivity.

#3: Most workers complain that they spend most of their time reading and responding to emails, and it's true. Instead try checking your email at certain times of the day - say 9am, noon, and 4pm - and do it only then.

#4: Engage "Do Not Disturb" Mode on your cell phone while you are at work. This still allows you to check you phone if you need to, but it won't be vibrating every time you get a text message.

#5: This one is really innovative and cool. Set a timer for 1 hour and work for the entire period. Try not to check Facebook or other distractions and see how much you get done. Once the hour is over, you have earned yourself a nice 5 minute screen break.
