This is a fitting end to the Business Blog Challenge in which we have been sharing all kinds of valuable content to our readers for the entire past month. So, where does Survey Analytics stand today? Survey Analytics stands in a deep focus of listening to our loyal customers and doing a better job of making sure all of our features are working at 110% and continually enhanced upon. Assuring overall customer success across the board is always becoming an increasingly important subject and we have experienced great customer retention rates. We have received our share of both good and bad feedback as we have worked day in and out to continue improving and pushing the envelope. Today, we are all about really helping you and forming long-term partnerships that last.
In terms of an organization we have been internally reworking some of our processes to maximize both organization and efficiency of the many tasks at hand for our small SaaS business. Just a year plus a few months back since I have started working here, so many things have really changed for the good. We have had some great off site and out-of-the-norm management summits to get our team together to focus, align and launch what’s next. We have really learned a lot in the past year as an organization, and we have grown our team and processes significantly. Meet some of our newest team members Anup Surendran as Product Manager, Dan Fleetwood as Customer Success Manager, Melissa Ridgley as Marketing Coordinator and Colin Wong as Sales and Marketing Manager for the APAC region. We are also seeking to add a full time Public Relations Manager within the upcoming months.

Partnerships mean a lot to our business and have taken us to the next level in both our feature set and the overall customer experience. It's important to define what both parties expect and the benefits each partner will receive by going in on something together. Usually the best partnerships are ones that fill gaps and fulfill the needs our target market has asked us for (frequently). Let's be honest, people like to conduct business with real people, not robots. After many lessons learned and risks taken, the business world is moving in a good direction towards "human to human" and helping each other out. As humans we tend to favor human interaction, relate with one another and customers like to know who they are doing business with. On top of that, it is much easier to demonstrate what your company is all about by showing, not telling.

After yesterday's close game against Germany, US soccer fans (or should I say fútbol fans) are very excited and eager for the next match against Belgium. In fact, TechCrunch reported that at it's high point nearly 1.7 million viewers tuned in to the game that aired yesterday, Thursday. That's more than the 2013 Super Bowl! And with everyone talking about the world cup, it has become known as the most social sporting event ever, more than the Super Bowl and Olympics combined. That's why we figured it was appropriate to show five of the best infographics with stats on the social side and traveling costs of the World Cup. Often overlooked, corporate culture is an integral part of a company. Whether it be written in the mission statement, spoken, or generally understood, corporate culture is like the governing hand of the company. Whatever direction it takes, forming a clearly defined corporate culture will not only attract potential employees, but it will shape the future of your business. Since the beginning we have had a very noteworthy corporate culture. So today we're naming a few things that make our corporate culture unique.
Recently this spring we had the opportunity at a WIRe (Women in Research) event in Seattle on the subject of taking risks and the failures and success associated with these big decisions. We had a great time listening to the panel on their personal career stories. What was even more interesting was the opportunity to speak with a very distant and friendly competitor with a completely different approach than us. We spoke to some great people from GMI from the Bellevue office about the resources it takes and the challenges we are facing today as consumers are entering the era of testing.

As of June 20, 2014, we are excited to announce a few new enhancements and updates to the Survey Analytics platform. Here is a summary of some of the things we've added, as well as what we have fixed based on past issues. In this article about the subject, they found that 47% of people are very concerned about online privacy, and 70% of respondents feel that they should have a right to complete online privacy. This is also reflected in our study on social media and data privacy that was completed last summer. We found that millennials are more likely to share their location with friends and family than any other generation. The Myth: DIY research is not as effective as outsourcing or hiring a consultant.
A lot of researchers out there often use bash marketing and say doing your own market research DIY style is the path to “destroy-it-yourself.” But really, when doing DIY research it all depends on the context and information you are trying to gather and from whom you are trying to gather from. And, the resources you have available to manage it. Sure, you may be better off just outsourcing it all to a professional. We can all agree that just throwing a person at a problem you are having is not an effective solution. DIY research works great especially for those involved in marketing, user research, user experience, customer satisfaction, customer loyalty and so on. If you can’t reach out and gather feedback from your own users or existing customers, how will a third party business be able to get through to them any better?

Especially with so many social media outlets available today, customers are more empowered than ever to share their good (or bad) experiences about a business in public. There have been countless stories of brands gone bad because of some negative PR on the web. On the other hand, this empowered consumer allows for more transparency and allows for the truth to be spoken.

With so much noise on social media, sometimes it is hard to break through all of the clutter. Every minute of the day, Facebook users share 2,460,000 pieces of content, Instagram users post 216,000 times, Pinterest users pin 3,472 images, and the list goes on (keep reading to see the full image). And that's just what happens in one minute. To expand upon that, we firmly believe that different social media sites are better at some things and worse at others. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, there are about 76.4 million Baby Boomers living in the United States. Although the term "Baby Boomer" is now used in a cultural context, it technically includes all people born between 1946 and 1964. Boomers aren't just unique in their upbringing and lifestyle, they pose an incredible opportunity in the marketplace for researchers. And surprisingly enough, they aren't as hard to reach as you might have thought. They're becoming more tech-savvy; owning smartphones and computers is not uncommon for them.
