Betty Adamou, President and Founder of Research Through Gaming has an exciting book on the way about gamification and it's application to market research.  Her upcoming book is titled "Playspondents: Making Games for Research." Betty is also co-presenting in a webinar with us this Wednesday on How to Design a Gamified Survey. Each chapter of Betty's upcoming book will be covering different topics about using gamified elements in both digital and face-to-face research practices. Her focus of the book emphasizes on the use of narratives, music, sound effects, avatars, feedback systems and rewards in research. She was kind enough to share with us the fourth chapter in her book about Debunking common misconceptions; what using Games for Research is not. This chapter dives into common questions and assumptions of bad things that can happen when using this methodology in research. Betty invented ResearchGames™ in her role as the President and Founder of Research Through Gaming and is also an artist, researcher, writer, conference speaker and University lecturer.

To date, she has spoken at over 60 conferences and events worldwide sharing her work and results on using Games for Research to the market research industry. Her company, Research Through Gaming was also named one of the GRIT Top 50 Innovative Firms in 2012 by Greenbook just seven months after launching.
